Miso Information Technology Supplies “Smart AI Planner” to Hyundai Steel for Special Steel Production
Miso Information Technology Applies “Smart AI Planner” to Hyundai Steel Pohang Special Steel Correction Line
Miso Information Technology, a multimodal data platform company, announced on the 23rd that it has applied its data-driven productivity optimization scheduling solution, Smart AI Planner, to the Hyundai Steel Pohang Special Steel Correction Line, improving productivity through optimized process design and supporting the digital transformation (AX) of the manufacturing environment.
According to the company, Smart AI Planner is a web-based, interactive automated scheduling system that intelligently designs the entire workflow—from production planning and execution to analysis—moving beyond traditional document-based and manual schedule management methods.
The solution helps address issues such as delivery delays, priority conflicts, and production losses that often arise during manual schedule revisions caused by emergency material inputs, changes in production specifications, or facility-related disruptions. By enabling real-time assessment of overall process impacts, Smart AI Planner improves operational visibility and responsiveness.
In particular, the company emphasized that the system overcomes structural limitations of manual-oriented environments by implementing optimized automated scheduling logic that comprehensively considers inter-process constraints and specification-based optimal production lines. This approach reflects the characteristics of special steel manufacturing, where multi-variable conditions and small-batch production are prevalent.
“Smart AI Planner represents a turning point in data- and AI-driven production decision-making, going beyond conventional scheduling systems,” said Nam Sang-do, CEO of Miso Information Technology. “We aim to become a trusted partner in manufacturing AX by using AI to address process complexity, optimize utilization rates, and support competitive cost structures and faster customer response.”
Miso Information Technology plans to further enhance Smart AI Planner by sequentially adding features such as natural language-based Q&A, production simulation, and machine learning-based production forecasting. Through these upgrades, the company aims to expand its manufacturing solutions into additional sectors, including pharmaceuticals, bio manufacturing, and medical devices.
