Cudo Communication Wins Ministerial Award at Ministry of Science and ICT’s New Software Product Awards
Cudo Communication (CEO Kim Yong-sik) announced on the 30th that it received the Ministerial Award at the New Software Product Awards, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, for its AI Transformation (AX)–based next-generation integrated platform, CUVIA-ver1.0.
The New Software Product Awards is one of Korea’s leading government recognition programs, selecting outstanding software products through a comprehensive evaluation of technological innovation, market potential, and public and industrial impact. The ministerial award reflects high recognition of Cudo Communication’s achievement in overcoming the structural limitations of conventional intelligent CCTV monitoring and setting a new benchmark for next-generation AI-based integrated platforms.
CUVIA-ver1.0 is designed as an AX-based platform that goes beyond the traditional “video-centric, post-event analysis” model of intelligent CCTV systems. It integrates and analyzes video, sensor, and operational data to enable real-time situational awareness and predictive, proactive responses, rather than simple event detection.
The evaluation committee cited the platform’s comprehensive architecture—covering both social disaster response (crime and violence detection, crowd risk management, and missing person tracking) and natural disaster response (fire, flooding, and environmental anomaly detection)—as a key reason for selecting it for the ministerial award. The committee also highlighted its strong field applicability and scalability.
Kim Yong-sik, CEO of Cudo Communication, stated, “This ministerial award is meaningful not only as recognition of product competitiveness, but also as official acknowledgment of our vision for an integrated safety platform aligned with the era of AI transformation. Through CUVIA-ver1.0, we aim to contribute to building safer and more intelligent urban and social infrastructure.”
