IntelliVIX Presents Vision for Building the Safest Cities Through AI at SCEWC 2025

IntelliVIX (CEOs Choi Eun-soo and Jang Jung-hoon), a company specializing in image analysis, participated in the Smart City Expo World Congress 2025 (SCEWC 2025) held in Barcelona, Spain, from April 4 to 6, where it unveiled its core AI monitoring platform, Gen AMS, drawing attention from the global market.

SCEWC, the world’s largest smart city event involving cities, companies, and research institutions from 140 countries, was held this year under the theme “The Time for Cities.” IntelliVIX took part in the Seoul Pavilion, organized by the Seoul AI Foundation, to showcase Gen AMS.

On April 5, Choi Eun-soo, CEO of IntelliVIX, presented the company’s vision for building the safest cities at the Smart City Seoul Forum, held alongside the exhibition, under the theme “The Safest World with AI.”

CEO Choi emphasized that “to create the safest cities, it is necessary to use AI to shift the paradigm from simple accident detection to prevention.”

To achieve this, he explained that it must be possible to predict signs of accidents by generating large-scale data on when and where incidents are likely to occur, using Video Understanding AI that analyzes video footage from CCTV installed across cities and roads and converts visual information into text.

In fact, IntelliVIX has developed its own VLM (Vision-Language Model) technology for the first time in Korea by combining Vision AI and Generative AI. Through this, the company has implemented an image analysis AI engine capable of understanding situations in video footage and predicting risks beyond simple object recognition.

Based on this engine, IntelliVIX developed Gen AMS, a next-generation AI video monitoring platform, also for the first time in Korea. The platform enables AI to monitor urban safety around the clock, goes beyond real-time detection and alerts of risk factors, and improves operational efficiency by analyzing the causes of incidents and automatically generating situation reports.

The Gen AMS platform introduced at this exhibition attracted strong interest from global buyers and experts, demonstrating innovation across various smart city domains, including transportation, security, and access control.

In particular, Gen AMS for traffic safety contributes to reducing carbon dioxide emissions and energy consumption by optimizing traffic volumes through real-time traffic flow analysis. It also enhances the safety of both drivers and pedestrians through smart transportation infrastructure, such as detecting pedestrians in crosswalk blind spots and guiding responses to illegal parking and stopping.

Furthermore, the platform strengthens urban security by enabling real-time detection of criminal vehicles, fleeing vehicles, delinquent vehicles, and suspects attempting to evade capture. Future-oriented security technologies, including AI patrol robots equipped with the world’s first automatic report-generation function and contactless biometric access control solutions that replace traditional fingerprint-based systems, also received positive responses.

“Gen AMS will serve as an AI urban safety agent that autonomously manages urban safety and efficiency beyond the role of a conventional monitoring system,” said CEO Choi Eun-soo. “Based on the global network established through SCEWC 2025, we will accelerate our expansion into overseas markets and present new standards for the safest cities created by AI.”

Meanwhile, IntelliVIX was selected as a 2025 Global Security Top 100 company by Security News and Security World. The Global Security Top 100 recognizes companies for excellence in sales, growth, technological innovation, and sustainability across both physical security and cybersecurity sectors worldwide, based on performance in 2024.
