Virnect to Supply XR Manuals to Komico… Leading Innovation in Smart Education
Adoption of XR Manuals Increasing in Precision-Control Industries such as Semiconductors and Displays
Virnect, an AI and XR (Artificial Intelligence and Extended Reality) technology company led by CEO Taejin Ha, announced on the 7th that it will supply its XR manual solution to Komico, a leading company specializing in precision special coating, cleaning, and professional analysis of semiconductor and display components.
Through this project, Virnect will provide an XR-based manual for the operation of measurement and analysis equipment at Komico, and the solution will be developed using Virnect’s Make platform.
Komico will be able to train users on the
operation of complex measurement equipment in a more intuitive and efficient
manner.
Komico is a global company that plays a key role in the semiconductor and display industries, providing solutions to major domestic and international semiconductor companies including Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, TSMC, Micron, and Intel.
Measurement equipment is an essential tool for
high-precision analysis tasks that must detect even the slightest defects, and
operating it accurately is directly linked to production quality.
By adopting Virnect’s XR manual, Komico aims to maximize the efficiency of internal staff training and create an environment where complex procedures can be learned more easily.
Virnect Make is a no-code-based XR content creation tool
that enables users to easily and quickly create AR (augmented reality) manuals
without any programming knowledge.
By using Virnect View, XR manuals can be easily
accessed across various devices such as Windows, Android, and iOS. This allows
Komico employees to practice while viewing augmented manuals overlaid directly
on the actual equipment.
Unlike traditional paper manuals or video-based training, XR manuals offer an immersive experience where users can interact directly with the actual equipment as they learn. This not only maximizes learning effectiveness but also helps prevent equipment malfunctions and enhances user proficiency.
A Virnect representative stated, “The adoption of XR manuals is steadily increasing in industries that require precise operations, such as semiconductors, displays, and manufacturing,” and added, “Through this collaboration with Komico, XR manuals are expected to become the new standard for industrial training.”
With the adoption of XR manuals, Komico expects various benefits, including reduced training costs, improved proficiency of new employees, and enhanced stability in equipment operation. Virnect also plans to expand its XR training solutions to a broader range of industries in the future.
