Funzin Joins the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s ‘Relay Campaign to Raise Awareness of Population Issues’

Funzin, a leading defense AI company, announced on the 22nd that it will participate in the “Relay Campaign to Improve Awareness of Population Issues” jointly organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health and Welfare Institute.

The campaign is a nationwide initiative aimed at recognizing social changes such as the declining birth rate, population aging, and demographic shifts, and building consensus for improvement. Starting with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, both public institutions and private companies have been joining the relay.

Funzin joined the campaign after being nominated by AGEN Global, an AI finance company, and participated with the belief that improving awareness of population issues is essential for building a society where everyone can move forward happily—aligned with Funzin’s mission.

Funzin has been operating various welfare programs that address low birth rates and aging challenges, including marriage and childbirth support, flexible work systems for child-rearing, maternity leave, family condo membership benefits, and financial support for children. The company also runs programs that promote sustainable employee growth, such as telecommuting for work–life balance and self-development, support for internal clubs, assistance for master’s and doctoral programs, and certification support.

“As an AIoT company that provides technology to support better decision-making, we believe we have a responsibility to respond to changes in the demographic structure,” said Kim Deuk-hwa, CEO of Funzin. “We will continue to foster a family-friendly culture and work–life balance so that employees do not feel discouraged about marriage or childbirth.”

Meanwhile, Funzin expressed hopes that more technology companies will join efforts to address population issues through the campaign and nominated Jeong Ji-dae, CEO of Ion, a drone company, and Shin Dong-gun, CEO of a beverage service design company specializing in recipe-based data, as the next participants in the relay.
