Xiilab Launches XIVA Micro, Innovating Semiconductor Quality Inspection with AI
Xiilab (Co-CEOs Yoon Se-hyuk and Chae Jung-hwan, 189330), a vision AI company, announced on the 2nd that it has launched XIVA Micro, an ultra-precise AI image analysis solution designed to improve quality inspection in semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Recently, in the semiconductor industry, as advanced processes such as high-bandwidth memory (HBM) expand, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in quality control for parts such as wafers and PCBs has become a key task. Existing visual inspection methods often lack speed and consistency, while vision inspection solutions are slow in high-resolution environments and require costly hardware.
Xiilab’s newly introduced XIVA Micro is a high-precision, high-speed inspection solution that achieves semiconductor wafer alignment accuracy of less than 0.5 pixels, processes up to 330 images per second, and provides analysis speeds of under 3 ms. In addition, Xiilab’s proprietary synthetic data generation technology enables the development of high-precision inspection models with only a small amount of image data, reducing reliance on expensive hardware.
XIVA Micro also enhances quality control efficiency by scanning the front side of wafers in real time, going beyond simple fine-defect detection. This allows semiconductor manufacturers to lower inspection process costs while improving productivity and quality competitiveness.
The solution has also been designed with user convenience in mind. Model optimization and simulation can be performed through an intuitive interface without requiring AI expertise, and quality management transparency and efficiency are improved through integration with real-time inspection processes.
Based on the XIVA Micro solution, Xiilab is expanding various recipes and templates to reflect industry-specific requirements and plans to enter the ultra-precision AI inspection market in earnest through strategic collaborations with semiconductor equipment companies.
"XIVA Micro will provide high-precision inspection at a reasonable cost, offering a practical AI-based solution to challenges at manufacturing sites," said Yoon Se-hyuk, CEO of Xiilab. "We aim to lead manufacturing process automation by applying this technology not only to semiconductors but also to other industries such as precision processing and electronic components."
