Funzin’s AI Synthetic Data Platform ‘EagleEye’ Certified as Military Suitable

Funzin, a leading defense AI company, announced on the 22nd that its AI composite data platform “EagleEye” was deemed “military suitable.” With this, the company successfully completed the “AI-based Synthetic Data Generation Technology Demonstration Project” conducted with the Army Artificial Intelligence Center.

The demonstration project aimed to address the challenge of securing actual operational environment data such as coastal borders. The military has long faced difficulties applying defense AI technology due to security constraints and operational continuity issues, and even the data collected with great effort remains limited.

To overcome these limitations, Funzin developed and delivered EagleEye, which can generate rare and hard-to-secure data as synthetic data by applying AI. The platform can automatically create prompt-based data according to various objects and environmental conditions. It also received a test report from the Korea Information and Communication Technology Association (TTA) and was certified as “military suitable” through the results of the military test evaluation.

In the past, collecting and refining actual operational data required long-term work and extensive cooperation. With the introduction of EagleEye, the time and cost of data construction have been drastically reduced, laying the foundation for a more efficient conversion of the military’s internal data processes.

Furthermore, with a synthetic data generation system that can produce and apply various models on demand, the application of AI technology and policy-making lead times are expected to be greatly shortened.

Through this project, Funzin presented practical and viable ways to secure data needed for various military operations, including reconnaissance, operation planning, and threat detection. The company expects to expand the application of defense AI beyond the Army to the entire military in the future.

“It is very meaningful for us to build AI infrastructure for the first time at the Army Artificial Intelligence Center,” said Kim Deuk-hwa, CEO of Funzin. “We will continue to develop defense AI technologies, like EagleEye, that can be applied in real-world operations.”
