FUNZIN Signs MOU With Army Air Defense School for Technology Cooperation in Air Defense Weapons Systems

[Jungang Economy News Song Tae-won] Defense AI leading company FUNZIN (CEO Kim Deuk-hwa) announced on the 23rd that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Army Air Defense School on the 13th to develop air defense weapons system technology.

The Army Air Defense School is a key educational institution of the Republic of Korea Army that trains specialists in air defense operations and leads advanced power development. This agreement is intended to advance the development of AI-based air defense technology that reflects the needs of the military field.

Through this agreement, FUNZIN has secured a way to link the AI command decision support system "KWM" to the air defense weapon system and plans to expand it by incorporating the specificity of the air defense operation environment.

Both organizations agreed to mutually share research and technical information related to the air defense weapon system and to promote the development of air defense technology through close cooperation among civil, government, and military sectors. In particular, they will actively explore joint research projects for technological advancement of air defense weapon systems and develop a practical cooperation model using AI, focusing on field-centered technology development.

In addition, in order to improve the AI Air Defense Command Decision System (KWM-ARDFNS), which is being developed in-house, FUNZIN will closely exchange technologies with the Air Defense School.

Meanwhile, FUNZIN has a number of defense AI solutions, including the artificial intelligence electromagnetic spectrum analysis system "KWM-Ocelot" and the synthetic data generation platform "EagleEye," centering on the AI command and decision support system KWM. Recently, it was selected as one of the "Innovation Premier 1000" and is strengthening investment and overseas market development.
