Funzin Showcases Defense AI at Avalon 2025

Joint Promotion with Hanwha Systems... Drawing Attention from Australian Military Officials
Showcasing AI-based Defense Technology Globally... Partnership with Slovakia's R-DAS

Seoul, April 1Funzin, a leading company in defense AI, announced today that it successfully wrapped up its participation in the Avalon 2025 Australian International Airshow, held in Melbourne from March 25 to 30. During the event, the company signed multiple cooperation agreements with both domestic and international partners.

In particular, Funzin conducted joint promotional activities with Hanwha Systems, a major Korean defense company expanding globally, to strengthen its foothold in the Australian market and lay the groundwork for future exports. Funzin also marked its first entry into the European market by signing a business cooperation agreement with Slovakia’s R-DAS, a fixed-wing drone manufacturer, for collaboration on AI-driven decision support systems.

The airshow’s main focus was on Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) systems, a critical solution for defending Australia’s vast land and maritime domains. Funzin’s proprietary AI solution, KWM (Kill-Web Matching), designed to assist commanders with real-time tactical decisions, gained significant attention as a core component of MUM-T.

KWM is a defense AI staff solution that rapidly analyzes battlefield conditions and suggests the most effective weapon combinations by identifying enemy targets in real time. After successfully completing a pilot program with the Korean Army in June last year, the solution was recognized for its technical excellence. Following its appearance at CES 2025 in January, this event further confirmed KWM’s global competitiveness.

Building on this momentum, Funzin expects to enhance the localization potential of its SDR (Software Defined Robot)-based AI solutions and secure new growth drivers in international markets.

“Through the Avalon 2025 Airshow, we were able to showcase Funzin’s advanced AI technology to global audiences and validate the export competitiveness of our solutions,” said Kim Deok-hwa, CEO of Funzin. “We will continue to strengthen partnerships with top-tier domestic and global players to establish ourselves as a leader in the defense AI field.”

Meanwhile, Funzin is set to exhibit at the World IT Show (WIS) to be held at COEX, Gangnam, Seoul, from April 24 to 26, where it will unveil a wide range of advanced solutions, including the KWM-based air defense AI staff system and Eagle Eye, an AI synthetic data generation platform.
