Cudo communication develops AI-based CCTV monitoring support system for local governments
Cudo Communications announced on the 11th
that it has been selected as the final contractor for the ‘AI-based CCTV
monitoring support system development project’ led by the Korea Local
Information Research & Development Institute.
The project aims to establish an intelligent CCTV platform utilizing local government CCTV footage to maximize monitoring efficiency, enhance the operations of integrated control centers, and strengthen public safety. The project is valued at 4 billion KRW.
Currently, an estimated 600,000
CCTVs are installed nationwide for disaster and safety monitoring. With
advancements in AI technology and increased computing power, the goal is to
enhance local government surveillance by leveraging this video data. The
project aims to establish a platform that enables intelligent CCTV developers
to directly update their models by utilizing CCTV footage as a training
dataset, thereby providing AI-powered support services.
Cudo Communications plans to integrate its AI
video analysis technology and automated CCTV monitoring solution with
generative AI technology to validate disaster-related training data
construction and establish a real-time risk detection and response system. This
initiative is expected to enhance local governments’ disaster and safety
monitoring capabilities.
A representative from Cudo Communications stated, “Through this project, we aim to bring tangible changes to the public safety sector by establishing an AI training data generation system and an information framework based on various event data.” They added, “We plan to provide customized AI monitoring solutions tailored to different local governments and use this as an opportunity to advance domestic smart monitoring technology to the next level.”
