[TAS 2025] “Market Entry Impossible Without Securing AI Reliability”

AX Conference to Be Held at FKI Tower on the 2nd

Think4BL CEO Park Ji-hwan Highlights Gaps in Korea’s AI Reliability Ecosystem

Calls for Expert Training, Data Quality, and Governance Frameworks

“Just as we cannot imagine a car without airbags, in two years it will be impossible to enter the market without artificial intelligence (AI) reliability.”

Park Ji-hwan, CEO of Think4BL, emphasized this point at the AX conference of THE AI SHOW 2025, held on the 2nd at the FKI Tower Conference Center in Yeouido, Seoul. During the AI reliability session led by Park, industry experts unanimously agreed that AI reliability is no longer optional but essential, stressing the urgent need to cultivate professional talent and build a supporting ecosystem.

The four speakers who presented on AI reliability shared the view that it has become a necessity rather than a choice. They identified several urgent priorities:
– establishing a professional workforce training system,
– providing education based on real-world experience,
– adopting a step-by-step approach from data quality management to governance, and
– promoting international cooperation and ecosystem development.

Park offered a candid assessment of the current situation in Korea in his role as the Korea representative of TRAIN (Trustworthy AI International Network), an international alliance focused on trustworthy artificial intelligence. “In Korea, there is very limited demand from private companies and the market for AI reliability,” he said. “There is also a lack of education systems, curricula, textbooks, and qualified instructors to train specialized professionals.”

He further highlighted differences in perception between Korea and overseas markets. “In Korea, reliability is often viewed as a regulatory requirement external to technology,” Park noted. “Overseas, however, reliability itself is regarded as a core source of technological competitiveness.”

Park added, “International standards use the term ‘Trustworthy AI,’ not simply ‘trusted AI.’ This reflects the idea that AI can only be trusted when proper governance structures and systems are in place throughout its development and operational lifecycle.”
