Miso Information Technology: “We Take Responsibility for Police Officer Health Management”
Miso Information Technology (CEO Nam Sang-do), a multimodal data platform company, announced on the 17th that it will participate in Korea’s only policing and security industry exhibition, the International Security Industry Exhibition (KPEX 2025), to be held from October 22 to 25 at Songdo Convensia in Incheon.
Now in its seventh year, the exhibition is jointly hosted by the National Police Agency and the Incheon Metropolitan Government. KPEX 2025 aims to foster the K-security industry through initiatives such as customized health management for frontline police officers, smart security solutions in the AI era, security technology showcases, and export-linked business programs.
At KPEX 2025 (Booth K14), Miso Information Technology will present the results of its police officer–specific cardiovascular disease prevention and incidence prediction system. The system is based on a clinical big data analytics platform and was jointly developed with Seoul Asan Medical Center, seven cardio-cerebrovascular centers nationwide, the Department of Preventive Medicine at Yonsei University, and Yonsei Health System.
The National Police Agency plans to operate an integrated platform to manage police officers’ health across their entire career lifecycle. Due to high occupational risks and intense stress, police officers face a higher risk of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases than the general workforce. The initiative aims to systematically manage disease risks and prevent serious conditions, including sudden death.
An official from the National Police Agency’s Science and Technology Cooperation and Development Division stated, “Police officers are exposed to various health risks due to the nature of their duties. Once the outcomes of this project are implemented in the field, they are expected to serve as a foundation for improving working environment guidelines and shaping policies related to police health and medical support.”
Nam Sang-do, CEO of Miso Information Technology, said, “Health management for police officers is the starting point of public safety. Together with Seoul Asan Medical Center and Yonsei University’s industry–academic partners, we will make every effort to protect the health of officers on the front line by establishing police cohorts and high-risk bio big data.”
Meanwhile, Miso Information Technology is developing predictive models for major chronic diseases—including obesity, metabolic liver disease, hypertension, and diabetes—using phenom data from 1.5 million individuals, in collaboration with Samsung Electronics and Gangbuk Samsung Hospital. Through a healthcare data distribution platform that efficiently integrates and manages medical data dispersed inside and outside hospitals, the company is helping to improve operational efficiency at medical institutions. Recently, it has attracted strong interest from buyers in Switzerland, France, Italy, and Japan.
In addition, based on Agentic AI technologies, Miso Information Technology has been certified as an “AI Factory Specialized Company” across industries such as manufacturing, construction, automotive, semiconductors, and aerospace, providing solutions for autonomous process control, critical accident prevention, and knowledge assetization.
