Cudo Communication introduced the CUDO XR LED Series broadcast LED Media Wall Studio solution, which significantly enhances the immersion of the broadcast transmission environment. This solution is built on next-generation COB LED chip technology, enabling the creation of immersive broadcasting spaces optimized for extended reality (XR). The CUDO XR LED Series has already been applied at KNN Studios in Busan, a terrestrial broadcaster, where it successfully completed technology verification. It demonstrated not only stability but also high-quality performance in camera shooting environments, proving its reliability. This makes it possible to flexibly design and build screens that meet diverse broadcasting environments and production conditions, including terrestrial broadcasters, general programming channels, home shopping, and PP companies.
An official from Cudo Communication said, “We designed the system to simultaneously deliver the high-quality images required at broadcast production sites while ensuring a stable transmission environment,” adding that “field-specific design and system integration capabilities are our key strengths.”
In particular, the CUDO LED Solution provides clearer and more immersive visuals through its UHD-ready LED Media Wall system. By adopting next-generation COB LED technology—more advanced than conventional SMD methods—it significantly improves color reproduction and video realism. This delivers optimal screen quality for studio backdrops, virtual sets, and XR content production.
The solution also supports customized broadcast production environments, making it well-suited for real-time virtual studios and XR content creation, thereby actively addressing broadcasters’ needs for next-generation production systems. Additionally, it offers practical operational convenience by providing a solution optimized for 3G/12G-SDI-based broadcasting transmission.
At KNN Studios, the system was deployed with the CUDO X-DIA media server, capable of synchronizing and transmitting 4K six-channel ultra-high-resolution video, along with the Colorlight Z8t controller optimized for XR and Cudo Communication’s proprietary program CUDO LediaS, which supports system redundancy. Together, these technologies established a high-quality broadcast transmission environment.
Looking ahead, Cudo Communication plans to further advance its next-generation broadcasting solutions—including UHD, XR, and immersive content production—in line with industry trends.
